We’re headed to Blacksburg Virginia for a full weekend of skills clinics at the new Brush Mountain Park Trail System. In partnership with the New River Land Trust, we’re offering subsidized, low cost clinics on a variety of topics for everyone!

Sign up for one clinic or pick and choose “tapas” style and choose a few.

Each 3 hour clinic is only $32

Friday June 27th

  • 4:00pm Intro to Jumping Great for anyone just starting to get their tires off the ground or those wanting to progress their jumping skills, this intro to jumping clinic is designed to teach you the skills needed to evaluate the size and shape of any jump and understand how to tweak your skill application based on your speed.

  • 4:00pm Technical Climbing Do you wish you could stay on your bike more when climbing up technical trails over roots and rocks? This clinic will focus on the subtle body movements and strategies to tackle any obstacle on your climb

Saturday June 28th

  • 9:00am Foundation Building Blocks Gain control and confidence on the trail. The all-gender version of this clinic is targeted for beginners who are looking to level up their bike control, feel more confident, and tackle more terrain safely. Get started with intentional skill application!

  • 9:00am Women’s Intro to Jumping Have you been eyeing all the new jumps popping up at bike parks in the region and wonder “How do you even start doing that?” Rather than just launching down the trail and hoping for the best, wouldn’t be awesome if you had a plan and understanding of the elemental skills needed to jump in control?

  • 1:30pm Youth FUNdamentals For 9-12 year olds who are getting started with mountain biking, this clinic will help young riders develop the foundation skills to tackle single track trails. The focus is on FUN while developing skills to help riders tackle trail features safely with more control.

Sunday June 29th

  • 9:00am Cornering Do you get hung up, lose speed, or lose control in corners, especially berms? Maybe you’d like to figure out how to carry more exit speed? This clinic takes a deep dive into the skills needed for berms, flat corners, and even off-camber turns.

  • 9:00am Women’s Foundation Building Blocks This clinic is for all female identifying riders who are beginner to intermediate level riders wanting to gain intentional skills to ride with more control, confidence, and safety.

  • 1:30pm Youth Intro to Air For 10-15 year olds who are regular mountain bikers wanting to learn or refine air skills for jumps and drops.

  • 1:30pm Technical Climbing Do you wish you could stay on your bike more when climbing up technical trails over roots and rocks? This clinic will focus on the subtle body movements and strategies to tackle any obstacle on your climb.

    We keep our group sizes small with a max of 6 in each group. Rather than run a group of 12 with 2 instructors, we'll split into 2 smaller groups when numbers for a clinic exceed 5 or 6.

  • Required for this lesson:

    • A bicycle in good working order.

    • Helmets are required, full-face or half shell are acceptable

    • Water and food to last the duration of your lesson

    • Closed toe shoes (no sandals, flip-flops, or crocs)

    • Optional (but highly recommended) equipment:
      Knee Pads
      Gloves
