Women’s Group Clinic
Smooth out your cornering to speed up! Do you get hung up, lose speed, or lose control in corners? Maybe you’d like to figure out how to carry more exit speed? This clinic takes a deep dive into the skills needed for flat corners, berms, and even off-camber turns.
We’ll cover the following skills: body position & weight distribution, braking, and line choice. We’ll start by separating each one out to introduce and practice by themselves before putting them back together. We’ll also investigate the skills of inclination (leaning), angulation (bike/body separation), and rotation and how to treat those like “dimmer switches” to turn up or down depending on the shape, size, and speed of each corner.
-
This clinic is for women, woman-identifying, and non-binary individuals
This clinic is appropriate for all level riders who are already comfortable riding intermediate level (blue rated) trails and want to improve their cornering skills!
Riders who feel static and fixed with their body position while cornering and want to work on being intentionally more mobile and dynamic
Riders who want to carry more speed, more efficiently, specifically exit speed.
Riders who always feel like they are doing something wrong in corners and want to achieve more flow.
Racers who want free speed without more effort

Then, we’ll move into a skills assessment and move through the essential pre-requisite skills including Body Position / Balance and experimenting with Bike-Body separation
We’ll start in the skills area's flat & bermed corners to get lots of practice with using these skills.
Then we’ll take it to some longer & steeper corners on Blue rated trails here at Kanuga.
We’ll endeavor to offer lots of individual feedback and video analysis.
