  • Chestnut Mountain Nature Park (Berm Park) 2415 Asheville Highway Canton, NC, 28716 United States (map)

Women’s Group Clinic at Chestnut Mountain Nature Park (Berm Park)

Fundamentals to learn before Jumping: Clinic for beginner-intermediate riders to dial in fundamental skills that will make ALL riding more fun, but specifically are important when you want to learn to JUMP.

Focus on these skills FIRST so that you’re ready for a jumping lesson. We will be working on body position & stability, moving the bike under you smoothly, and pressure control. *Note: We will not be jumping in this clinic, just polishing the skills to have a solid foundation for learning to jump.

    • This clinic is for women, woman-identifying, and non-binary individuals

    • Beginner to intermediate level riders

    • Riders with the goal of being more playful on the trail, more mobile, and less static.

    • Riders who are curious about jumping but want to polish necessary foundation skills before taking the leap.

    • Those wanting to feel more empowered, confident, and capable through a deeper understanding and execution of intentional skill application

    • Riders who want to check out Chestnut Mountain Trails!

  • The Lead instructor for this clinic will be Whitney Houck, a certified Level 2 “AIR Instructor” through the PMBIA. Read Whitney’s full profile

    • We’ll start with an intro to listen to your previous experience and goals, then set expectations and a plan for the clinic.

    • Then, we’ll move into a warmup and skills assessment, basically play for while, have fun, and get out bodies moving.

    • The majority of the lesson will break down each elemental skill with a quick explanation, short demo, then LOTS of practice and individual feedback.

    • We’ll be using both open areas (like the grass field) and individual trail features for practice time.

  • $125 per person

  • Chestnut Mountain (Berm Park) is a free access trail system. No additional trail access fees are needed.

  • Required for this lesson:
