Schedule (Click on each for more info, pre-registration is required)
12:00-1:00 Advanced Braking More Braking Control = More Confidence and Speed! Are you afraid of the front brake? Want more control on steep trails? How about more confidence riding downhill in general? What’s the correct ratio of front vs rear brake for any given situation? HOW to brake is an often overlooked key component to riding confidently with more control. Confidence and control leads to more speed when you want it!
12:00-1:00 Body Position This mini-clinic is a refresher or refinement of body position for riding downhill. This is THE MOST COMMON error we correct when people show up for private lessons (Everyone from beginners to advanced). Having a good, efficient, centered body position when standing is critical for feeling confident, tackling difficult terrain, and feeling stable and predictable. Hint: You are probably bending your knees too much!
12:00-1:00 Cornering: Rotation This mini-clinic is a deep dive into using rotation for cornering. We can use rotation to help initiate turns and drive the bike through the turn. Let's work on having US be in control of driving the bike through the turn rather than just riding square to the bike and following it around turns. Rotation can also be an effective force to apply on off-camber traverses to maintain a line. Getting better at rotation is often a "low hanging fruit" of skills to be a better rider. Even advanced level riders often remark that this is one of the most valuable outcomes of private lessons when we cover it.
Meeting Location:
